And then it hits you

And then it hits you. I've been so busy babysitting, packing, planning, checking things off our Charlotte to do check list and planning goodbyes that the reality of moving has evaded me. Of course I get it, we're about to move across the world long term to work with an amazing ministry and with that will come multiple sacrifices and numerous blessings. I know this. I am
thankful and excited that God has called us to this work. However in the busyness... I was able to hide from some of the emotion behind it all. In the last few days we've said goodbye to many very special people. Today we moved out of our home, sold one of our cars, and are now living in what feels like an unordered mess  of suitcases and boxes and piles of clothes out of our car and in the homes of loved ones.
From here we travel through North Carolina and Virginia visiting friends and family for the next 16 days. Then we take 3 planes to the Philippines. When we arrive we may live at the Children's home for a week or two before finalizing the lease of an apartment. Then we can begin getting resettled and rediscover the comforts of having a home, our own space and organization. Until then, we'll be practicing the art of finding our peace in Christ no matter the circumstance and absorb as much love and hospitality as we possibly can. - Meghan
